Suggested Dose of CBD

One of the best qualities of CBD is that it is a very safe product. People have taken upwards of 750mg of synthetic CBD at a time, in Government testing situations and have had no serious side effects. If you have never taken a product before, it is always a good idea to start with a small amount, because we can never know if an allergy, intolerance or side effect may appear. The chances of an adverse reaction to CBD at lower amounts is a very low probability.

Dr. Allan Frankel, MD a cannabis specialist, states that he has started people with suggested 1 or 2 mgs of CBD taken orally. He goes on to say that it will normally last for about 12 hours. So 1 to 2mgs seems to be a low-end starting dose and may very well end up being the dose. Some other people experienced in CBD dosages suggest that 4 to 8 mgs a day is suggested general amount taken by people with mind conditions.

It is also important to consider that cannabinoids are stored in fat cells. One may not need as much after taking them for a while, a few weeks perhaps. Our individual metabolisms and needs must also be considered, as no two people are exactly alike.

The general rule of when using CBD is to go "low and slow", meaning start off at a very low dose and increase slowly. Some manufacturers The CBD Store represents have 25mg capsules. Suggesting this amount is what some people might use. Other considerations besides metabolism and sensitivity a persons weight, as a person's weight, is sometimes factored in with dosing formulas.

Sprays or and Drops... under the tongue then swallow.
Edibles... chew, creating saliva that will also move CBD under your tongue then swallow.
Capsules Softgels... Swallow and in fact will come as standard 15mg to 25mg per capsule. The digestive system will eliminate some of the CBD and thus in capsule form more is needed per capsule.
Lotions, Creams, Salve, Balms... Not as effective in moving CBD into the endocannabinoid system. CBD does not absorb as well topically.

Taste: Legal CBD comes from the Hemp Plant and without flavoring will taste like Hemp/grass. To move to a better taste some of the products in the CBD Store are flavored: Vanilla, Peppermint, Cafe Mocha for instance. The flavoring does not take away from the efficacy of CBD.
